White Tara is traditionally depicted as a compassionate sixteen-year-old goddess whose boundless mercy mirrors that of Avalokiteshvara. Seated in the full lotus posture, she is shown with seven eyes, symbolizing her ability to perceive and respond to the suffering of all beings with wisdom and compassion.

The blue uḍumbara flower featured in the painting is a sacred symbol in Buddhist tradition, believed to bloom only once every three thousand years. Its rare appearance represents the extraordinary blessing of encountering a fully awakened being.

Inspired by the story of Atisha, the Bengali prince and Buddhist master who brought the teachings of Tara to Tibet despite great personal sacrifice, this artwork honors the path of compassion, courage, and spiritual devotion.

This 10" × 17" small giclée print is reproduced from an original painting by Mayumi Oda.

A giclée (pronounced zhee-KLAY) is a museum-quality fine art reproduction created from a high-resolution digital capture of the original artwork. Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on premium, acid-free paper to preserve exceptional color, detail, and longevity.

Printed with professional 12-color archival pigment inks on pH-balanced fine art paper, this piece is designed to retain its beauty for generations, making it a timeless addition to any home or art collection.
